    • Capture and organize project knowledge: Take effective meeting notes and translate discussions into concise decisions, action items, open questions, and follow-up activities.
    • Support project coordination: Maintain action items, project trackers, schedules, deliverable timelines, and task management tools and help ensure commitments are followed through.

    • Strong research skills, including the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar topics, identify credible sources, and summarize findings for a professional audience.
    • Strong experience developing PowerPoint presentations and other client-facing deliverables.
    • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to take rough or complex information and turn it into clear, concise, well-structured content.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-moving project environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with project leadership, clients, and subject matter experts.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience working in consulting, professional services, government, or a client-facing environment.
    • Experience supporting government health and human services, public health, healthcare, EMS, or other public-sector programs.
    • Experience supporting assessments, evaluations, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, or other structured information-gathering activities.
    • Experience developing executive-level presentations, briefing decks, reports, or recommendations for government or business leaders.
    • Experience with Asana or comparable project management platforms.
    • Familiarity with Agile or sprint-based project delivery.
    • Experience working with Excel and organizing or performing basic analysis of quantitative data.

Skills and Knowledge You Bring to the Role

    • Exceptional Synthesis Skills: You can listen to a lengthy discussion or review pages of notes and identify the handful of points that actually matter.
    • Structured Thinking: You can take ambiguous or unorganized information and create a logical framework, storyline, or approach.
    • PowerPoint and Visual Storytelling: You understand that a strong presentation is more than well-formatted slides. You can organize information into a compelling narrative and determine how to communicate complex ideas simply and visually.
    • Research and Curiosity: You are comfortable being given a question you do not immediately know the answer to, researching it efficiently, evaluating sources, and returning with a useful answer.
    • Strong Writing and Editing: You can draft professional content and improve rough material so that it is concise, clear, accurate, and appropriate for a client audience.
    • Attention to Detail: You notice inconsistencies, missing information, formatting problems, and unanswered questions before materials reach the client.
    • Client Awareness: You consider what the audience needs to understand, what questions they are likely to ask, and how information should be framed for different stakeholders.
    • Project Organization: You can keep track of actions, decisions, deadlines, dependencies, and follow-ups without losing sight of the broader objective.
    • Collaborative Execution: You are comfortable receiving input from several people, reconciling different perspectives, and iterating on deliverables until they are ready for the client.

    What Success Looks Like

A successful person in this role becomes someone the project team can rely on to bring structure and clarity to complicated work.

You can join a stakeholder meeting, understand the discussion, capture what matters, research unanswered questions, and turn the result into an organized set of findings or a polished client presentation. You ask thoughtful questions when information is incomplete, identify connections others may have missed, and understand the difference between simply documenting information and actually synthesizing it.

Your deliverables are accurate, well-organized, visually professional, and require progressively less direction as you become familiar with the project and client.
